There are many reasons why people are choosing to rent an office space. Working from home may save all the commute time and costs, however, it does leave an unprofessional impression if you have a meeting with a client, and your neighbors are yelling in the background.
Whether you are an architect, writer, lawyer or a self employed executive, it is possible you may need to meet clients for presentations or 'meetings' and even just for an introduction! It is also possible that you may be required to relocate and find 'new' project space from time to time. If you need to hire contract or full time employees for your office, you may be faced with issues like commute time, cost of 'serviced apartments' vis - a -vis budget hotels as well as renting a ready made office. It makes sense to hire a ready made office with state of the art equipment that you can hire when you need it and fire when you don’t compared to setting up a new office from scratch! The leasing cost itself and the commitment to stick around for a minimum eleven months can be a recipe for disaster especially if you are a small company with few or a single employee.
It is also possible that if you or your client are frequent business travelers, you may want to consider 'service apartments' and readymade 'business’ suites in other cities as well. Business suites are Office Spaces located in a high end location offering high speed internet connectivity, fax, phones, and all that you need to stay connected to your office. It may also come with a security guard, facility managers, cafeteria for the employees, shared training and conference facilities and even a receptionist who can answer your phone.
If you are considering renting a readymade Office Space for the first time, here are some guidelines:
* Ask yourself if the Office Space will convert your business and employees into a streamlined organization. Consider all the facilities available, virtual, hardware or the software!
* Would your clients find it a comfortable and professional business environment
* Would there be space to 'train' your employees and hold meetings if need be. Are the conference/training rooms big enough to hold your client and employees and yet not looked cramp!
* What terms of 'renting' Office Space would suit you and your budget whether on a weekly, monthly or quarter basis.
* Would you want to hire new employees or do the Office Space suites come with a receptionist who can answer phones and take your queries?
* Is it an affordable yet flexible rental plan.
